The building housing Muddy Creek Brewery burned down on the morning of January 23, 2020. We were located in uptown Butte Montana. Future plans for this fairly-famous and beloved brewery are undetermined at this time. If you are reading this in early 2020, you may still be able to find our award winning beer in restaurants and taverns in Butte, Great Falls, or Helena. Don't miss out on some of the world's best beer should you find it.

Superb Beer, Very Friendly, I'll Move to Butte, then Snow
I rolled in here for an afternoon ale while spending the day in Butte as part of a longer trip. Place had just opened and the bartender (Andy? Not sure) was very friendly and knew a lot about the history of Butte. And he and they obviously know a lot about beer, because every one of the brews in my sampler was superb. A wall full of personalized mugs testified to a huge crowd of regulars. Stop in here for a great brew and a friendly chat...it almost made me want to move to Butte. (But then, a few snowflakes started to fall, and this was in mid-October...made me change my mind.) Cheers!
Charming, Welcoming, Enjoyable Ales, Brews, and Coffee
Others mention that the brewery is hard to find. That is part of the charm. This tasting room is sunny, open and welcoming. The young man pouring and the Brewer were both friendly and engaging. We sampled several types of beer and enjoyed the lighter ales and more robust brews. The cold brew coffee in a nitro porter hit the spot on a Saturday afternoon. I didn't try the brewed ginger or root beer but appreciate that they have it on tap for the kids or non beer drinkers
Variety, Great Brew, Friendly Staff, Fantastic Location
One year later, and Muddy Creek has converted me to a craft beer drinker. I may even be a beer snob. I still can't keep track of how many brews they offer, as they are always adding new ones. The brewers are very talented and very serious about their craft. I have learned quite a bit about about beer, and am even a mug-club member. I tend towards beers with lower IBUs, and my favorites are the Black Ice, Dirty Blonde, Good Times and Sunburn, a jalapeno-infused ale. Their porter is delicious as well as the stout. Aside from the beer, MCB has the friendliest staff in town, and comfortable
Great Beer, Staff, Location
Muddy Creek Brewing in Butte, MT, USA is like coming home...if your home was up some creaky stairs to a huge airy echoing historic loft above an empty street in a once-bustling old downtown....like mine was. Anyhow, once you make it up the stairs and turn left (a right turn takes you into a wine and martini bar), if you are lucky enough to get Andy as your bartender, you are an immediate regular. Which is a good thing, because the beers here are fantastic, no matter the style or ABV. I had a flight of four of my own choosing (I had limited time and had to drive back to another nearby town
